Quilting services are calculated by square inch. These prices include the cost of thread but do not include batting, backing, or binding as those are calculated separately.

Quilting Services

Simple Edge to Edge (one design low density)                         $0.02/square inch

Complex Edge to Edge (one design high density) $0.03/square inch

Simple Custom (two Designs) $0.04/square inch

Complex Custom (three or more designs) starts at $0.05/square inch

Unique Designer Original - an original design made specifically for your quilt is charged by the hour for both the designer time and the stitching time**

Designer time $25.00/hour

Stitching time $25.00/hour

**Designer retains all rights to original designs**

I stock Quilter’s Dream batting by the roll and charge per inch based on the smallest side of your quilt plus 6 inches for the margin needed on the machine. I can special order additional options of batting when necessary.

Batting

Quilter’s Dream 80% cotton/20% polyester $0.32/inch

Quilter’s Dream 100% Cotton Deluxe $0.50/inch

Quilter’s Dream Bamboo $0.38/inch

I have a limited stock of backing options at any given time. However, if you would like to order backing through Whimsical stitching, I will be happy to assist you.

Backing

Binding Services

Binding is calculated by measuring the full outer edge of the quilt. From our example above that measurement would be 58+85+58+85 = 286

Prepare and attach binding by machine to one side (front or back) of the quilt. $0.15/inch

Prepare and attach binding by machine to both front and back of quilt. $0.30/inch

Other Services

Pressing quilt top/back and trimming excessive threads $25/hour

Basting top, batting, and backing together without quilting $0.01/square inch
